Our pupils had the opportunity to see the musical Oliver!, written by Lionel Bart, live at Leeds Playhouse. Based on the novel by Charles Dickens, the musical Oliver! follows the story of a small boy as he journeys from a bleak workhouse to the streets of London in search of love and a proper home. The musical was directed by James Brining and featured Jenny Fitzpatrick as Nancy and Theo Wake as Oliver Twist.
Pupils thoroughly enjoyed watching the musical and are excited to start rehearsing for our own production of the Broadway Junior adaptation of the classical novel and award-winning musical.
