Year 10 pupils travelled to London in March following their success in winning the North West Heat of the Bar Mock Trial, to compete in the final at the Royal Court of Justice in London with 24 other schools, who were also regional winners.
Over 200 schools were involved in the competition and Year 10 pupils were competing against sixth formers from all over the country. Pupils prosecuted and defended two cases acting as barristers, witnesses and members of the court and did an excellent job.
One of our pupils, Anam in year 10, represented one of the prosecution witnesses so successfully, that she won the overall prize for the most impressive representation of a witness.
